We specialize in private woodworking workshops for adults, children and teens. Bentwood Studio is built on a father and son’s relationship and passion for woodworking. These two master woodworking craftsman started this family-owned business to share their love of creating unique projects with wood that last a lifetime. The father and son team are highly skilled artisans that bring years of teaching experience to their students.

Ernest Palmieri

Ernie Palmieri is a master craftsman with over 45 years of experience as a professional woodworker, cabinetmaker, furniture maker and wood turner. During those years, he passed on his devotion to woodworking by teaching his craft to many students, including his son. He earned his master’s degree at Lehman College located in Bronx, New York. He is also a member of the American Craft Council and is a licensed contractor in Putnam County, NY.

Glenn Palmieri

Glenn Palmieri studied woodworking as an apprentice at the Chicago Bauhaus Academy, where he learned solid wood-building utilizing traditional joinery, and led the instruction of adult education classes. He’s worked on numerous award-winning projects. He was honored to have built the Papal Throne and Lectern for the 2008 Papal Youth Rally in Yonkers, NY, as well as the furnishings for the Ground Zero Mass. Glenn is a member of the American Craft Council, The Furniture Society, Arts on the Lake and The Putnam Arts Council.  He is presently the Career Tech/Ed Carpentry Teacher, Brewster Central School District.
